WHY?

Everywhere in the world, across all types and levels of care, health systems are in crisis. Globally, hospital admissions are on the increase, and the increase indicates that the primary care system is faltering.

  • In New Zealand 29% of our children live in poverty; and

  • Right now our population deprivation levels measure in excess of 17%, with 11% of our community on social benefit medical certificates and the remaining 6 - 8% either officially unemployed, or the hidden unemployed.

Our job is to work out how we can make a difference, locally and nationally, by working with and in our community to build and collaborate on solutions.

“Here is a place your energy and passion makes a genuine difference to the lives of people, and at the same time improves the standards of health in community, locally and nationally”
